Confirming Previous Revelations:-

2: 41        And believe in what I reveal confirming the revelation which is with you and be not the first to reject faith therein nor sell My Signs for a small price: and fear Me and Me alone….

2: 89        And when there comes to them a Book [Quran] from Allah confirming what is with them [Taurat] although from of old they had prayed for victory against those without faith when there comes to them that which they (should) have recognized they refused to believe in it; but the curse of Allah is on those without Faith.

2: 91        When it is said to them: "believe in what Allah hath sent down" they say
"We believe in what was sent down to us"; yet they reject all besides even if it be truth confirming what is with them.  Say: "Why then have ye slain the prophets of Allah in times gone by if ye did indeed believe?"

2: 97        Say: Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel for he brings down the (revelation) to thy heart by Allah's will a confirmation of what went before [Taurat] and guidance and glad tidings for those who believe…..

2: 101 And when came to them an Apostle from Allah confirming what was with them [Taurat] a party of the people of the Book threw away the Book of Allah  [Quran] behind their backs as if (it had been something) they did not know!

       # I think that by "the Book of Allah" here is meant, not the Qur-an, but the Book which the People of the Book had been given (Taurat), viz., the previous Revelations. The argument is that Muhammad's Message was similar to Revelations which they had already received, and if they had looked into their own Books honestly and sincerely, they would have found proofs in them to show that the new Message was true and from Allah.  But they ignored their own Books or twisted or distorted them according to their own fancies.  Worse, they followed something which was actually false and mischeivous and inspired by the evil one.  Such was the belief in magic and sorcery.  These are described in the next verse in terms referring to the beliefs and practices of the "People of the Book."#

*** I have to DISAGREE with Yusuf Ali's deliberately false interpretation. The People of the Book 'threw away the Quran' because they did not believe in it knowing full well that it could not be 'divinely inspired'.

Furthermore, there is not a single follower of Muhammad, past, present or in the future who can point out a SINGLE verse in the Taurat that has been 'twisted or distorted' since the burden of PROOF resides with the accusers.

It is actually a FACT, that there is not a single PRECEPT, CONCEPT, THOUGHT or IDEA in the whole of the Quran that is in any way shape or form ORIGINAL since almost all of them had been PLAGIARIZED, PLUNDERED, PIRATED and/or PERVERTED from the TRADITIONS, FETISHES and SCRIPTURES of the Jews, Christians, Zoroasterians and the Pagan Arabians ***

3: 3        It is He Who sent down to thee (step by step) in truth the Book [Quran] confirming what went before it; and He sent down Law (Of Moses) and the Gospel (of Jesus) before this as a guide to mankind and He sent down the Criterion (of judgment between right and wrong)…..

*** Those who know the New Testament would recognize the stupidity and falsity of the above statement especially since the Gospels were NEVER 'revealed' to Jesus as they were WRITTEN DECADES after his death.

What is astounding is that here we have an allegedly 'divinely inspired book, the Quran' which CONTRADICTS all the previously revealed Books and still claims that it is inspired by the same divinity that revealed the previous ones ***

3: 81        Behold! Allah took the covenant of the Prophets saying: "I give you a Book and Wisdom [Taurat]; then comes to you an Apostle confirming what is with you; do ye believe him and render him help."  Allah said: "Do ye agree and take this My Covenant as binding on you?"  They said: "We agree." He said: "Then bear witness and I am with you among the witnesses."

4: 47        O ye people of the Book! believe in what We have (now) revealed confirming what was (already) with you [Taurat] before We change the face and fame of some (of you) beyond all recognition and turn them hindwards or curse them as We cursed the Sabbath-breakers: for the decision of Allah must be carried out.

5: 46        And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary confirming the law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light and confirmation of the law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah….

5: 48        To thee We sent the Scripture in truth confirming the scripture that came before it [Taurat] and guarding it in safety; so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed and follow not their vain desires diverging from the truth that hath come to thee.  To each among you have We prescribed a Law and an Open Way.  If Allah had so willed He would have made you a single people but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues.  The goal of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute.

6: 92        And this is a Book [Quran] which We have revealed bringing blessings and confirming (the revelations) which came before it [Taurat]: that thou mayest warn the Mother of Cities and all around her.  Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in this (Book) and they are constant in guarding their prayers.

10: 37 This Qur'an is not such as can be produced by other than Allah; on the contrary it is a confirmation of (revelations) that went before it and a fuller explanation of the Book (Taurat) wherein there is no doubt from the Lord of the Worlds.

*** Unfortunately, this verse has been found to be utterly WRONG since SATAN was allegedly able to FOOL Muhammad into uttering the
Satanic Verses which were NOT from Allah ***

12: 111 There is in their stories instruction for men endued with understanding.  It is not a tale invented but a confirmation of what went before it [Taurat] a detailed exposition of all things and a Guide and a Mercy to any such as believe.

35: 31 That which We have revealed to thee of the Book is the Truth  confirming what was (revealed) before it [Taurat]: for Allah is assuredly with respect to his servants well acquainted and fully-Observant.

46: 30 They said "O our people! We have heard a Book revealed after Moses confirming what came before it [Taurat]: it guides (men) to the Truth and to a Straight Path.

61: 6        And remember Jesus the son of Mary said: "O Children of Israel! I am the apostle of Allah (sent) to you confirming the Law (which came) before me [Taurat] and giving glad Tidings of an Apostle to come after me whose name shall be Ahmad." But when he came to them with Clear Signs they said "This is evident sorcery!"

*** No follower of Muhammad can point out such a verse in any verse of the New Testament. This verse is not only erroneous but is alsoa blatant LIE.

Also, NOT ONCE in all the Quranic verses above, do they assert that Muhammadan Islam is a NEW RELIGION.

Every single verse affirms that the Quran is ONLY CONFIRMING PREVIOUS REVELATIONS ***
